Red Collar Rewards Terms and Conditions
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 14, 2024
1. Membership Eligibility and Overview
Welcome to The Black Dog Red Collar Rewards Program (“Program”). The Program is a way in which we reward our loyal customers for purchasing our products. The Program is offered by the Black Dog Tavern Company, LLC (“The Black Dog” or “Black Dog”) to its customers. Membership is limited to individuals only and to one account per individual. You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for Membership.
Please read the Terms and Conditions of Participation in this Program. By participating in this Program or applying for membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Condition of Participation and by any changes or modifications that The Black Dog may make. The Program is void where prohibited by law.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, OR IF YOU ARE
NOT ELIGIBLE OR AUTHORIZED TO PARTICIPATE IN RED COLLAR REWARDS LOYALTY PROGRAM, THEN DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE RED COLLAR REWARDS LOYALTY PROGRAM OR ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE. COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING OR USING ALL OR ANY PART OF THE SERVICE WILL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE AND CREATE A LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE CONTRACT UNDER WHICH YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION, WITHOUT MODIFICATION.
By registering or using the Program, you represent that you have read, understood and agree to all the provisions of these Terms and Conditions and are of legal age to do so. Additional terms and conditions may apply to certain products or Services offered by the Black Dog currently or in the future. The Black Dog reserves the right to change or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time.
2. Membership Tiers; Earning and Redeeming Red Collar Rewards; Expiration
Eligible individuals may only enroll in the Program at one of our participating retail stores or by calling or emailing customer service at 1-800-626-1991, customerservice@theblackdog.com. You must provide an email address to enroll
in the Program. You may also provide us with your phone number, mailing address, and birthday, but this information is optional. You are solely responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and for updating it as needed. You may update your account information at one of our participating retail stores or by contacting customer service. Only one program account may be associated with one individual.
There are three (3) tiers of membership in the Program:
Achieving Captain Canine or Admiral Woof status requires a minimum spend per year on eligible purchases, as explained below. All membership tiers enjoy a variety of benefits made available by The Black Dog in its sole discretion from time to time (“Benefits”). Benefits may vary by tier and some tiers may have more Benefits than others. The type, timing and availability of any Benefits (special offers, sweepstakes, one-of-a-kind experiences, exclusive events and advance access to products) will be determined by The Black Dog in its sole discretion. The Black Dog may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the tier rules, regulations, benefits, eligibility for membership, or any other feature of a particular tier or may terminate a particular tier at any time in its sole discretion, without prior notice except as expressly set out in these Terms or required by applicable law.
- Sailor Pup
All members are automatically Sailor Pups upon enrollment. Subject to removal from the Program (as explained herein), a member will remain a Sailor Pup indefinitely unless the minimum annual spend required to achieve Captain Canine or Admiral Woof status is met.
- Captain Canine
Captain Canine status is conferred on those registered Red Collar Rewards members who spend a minimum of $350 on fulfilled orders of merchandise during a rolling 12-month period. Captain Canine status is good if the member maintains a minimum of $350 over the previous 12 months; after that, requalification is required. If a member does not requalify for Captain Canine status and does not qualify for Admiral Woof status, the member will revert to Sailor Pup status.
- Admiral Woof
Admiral Woof status is conferred on registered Red Collar Rewards members who spend at least $750 on fulfilled orders of merchandise during a rolling 12-month period. Admiral Woof status is good if the member maintains a minimum of $750 over the previous 12 months; after that, requalification is required. If a member does not requalify for Admiral Woof status and does not qualify for Captain Canine status, the member will revert
to Sailor Pup status.
Red Collar Rewards Points
All three tiers of membership will earn points that will then be converted to a gift card value. Points are earned at different rates based on membership tier. For every 100 points the member will earn a $10 gift card. Points or earned gift cards may not be exchanged for cash or monetary refund.
Sailor Pups will earn 1 Red Collar Reward Point for every U.S. dollar spent on fulfilled orders of eligible merchandise (as applicable based on country of purchase) (a “Red Collar Reward Point”). Captain Canines will earn 1.5 Red Collar Reward Points for every U.S. dollar spent on fulfilled orders of merchandise. Admiral Woofs will earn 2 Red Collar Reward Points for every U.S. dollar spent on fulfilled orders of merchandise. We may offer bonus points events sometimes, and in that circumstance, the offer would apply. Separate terms and conditions will apply to each bonus points offer.
You must provide your Red Collar Rewards registered e-mail address to have any Red Collar Reward Points credited to your account. Red Collar Rewards Points previously credited to your account will be removed if the order that resulted in such points is cancelled.
Any reference to "merchandise" or the value of merchandise in these Terms for purposes of collecting Red Collar Rewards Points includes all Black Dog retail products sold online, or in Black Dog retail stores when you provide your Red Collar Reward email at the time of purchase. Certain exclusions apply, including payment for e-gift cards, gift cards, taxes, shipping, or other miscellaneous items at the discretion of The Black Dog. Purchases made at any of The Black Dog’s food service locations are not included in the Program.
Red Collar Rewards points may not be exchanged or returned for points, another product or a monetary refund.
We are not responsible for rewards, benefits and/or points lost or redeemed due to fraudulent activity or violation of applicable law.
We reserve the right to change the Program benefits, how you reach the Program tier, how you earn points and how we evaluate and review your eligible purchases.

Red Collar Reward Point Expiration
Red Collar Rewards Points do not expire unless your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled for the reasons further detailed herein. If your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled, Red Collar Rewards will automatically expire.
3. Agreeing to The Black Dog's Privacy Policy & Email
By becoming a member of the Red Collar Rewards Program, you agree to be bound by The Black Dog’s Privacy Notice and website Terms and Conditions.
4. Communications with The Black Dog; How to Opt Out
By enrolling in the Program, you will be automatically subscribed to receive and consent to receiving The Black Dog marketing emails and Red Collar Reward related emails.
You may opt-out of receiving such communications by following the instructions provided in the email.
5. Changes, Termination and/or Removal from Program, Account Closure
Program Changes: The Black Dog reserves, in its sole discretion, the right to cancel, modify, restrict or terminate the Program at or any aspect or feature of the Program at any time by posting notice of any such changes on The Black Dog website. Following such notice, your continued participation in the Program shall constitute acceptance
of such changes.
Termination or Removal from Program: The Black Dog reserves the right to exclude individuals from the Program, remove Red Collar Rewards Points from a member’s account and/or cancel orders that are not consistent with The Black Dog policy in its sole but reasonable discretion. In particular, any abuse, manipulation or "gaming" of the Program or its rules (as determined by The Black Dog) including, failure to follow any terms of the Program, any misrepresentation or any conduct detrimental to the interests of The Black Dog not otherwise protected by law may subject members to Membership revocation or deduction of Red Collar Rewards Points obtained through these abusive or manipulative activities, cancellation of orders and will affect eligibility for further participation in the Program. Membership is non-transferable and Membership purchases must be made by the member. If your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled, any
Red Collar Rewards Points in your account will automatically expire. The Black
Dog reserves the right to make changes to its website and these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to check or review these Terms to keep informed of any changes. By joining the Program, you hereby agree to be bound by any such changed Terms.
Account Closure: You may cancel your Red Collar Rewards account at any
time by contacting The Black Dog Customer Service at 1-800-626-1991 or customerservice@theblackdog.com. Red Collar Rewards accounts that are closed
can be re-opened upon request by contacting The Black Dog Customer Service. If
you close your Red Collar Rewards account, you must agree to the following terms
of closure:
1. You will forfeit all existing Red Collar Rewards Points, tier status, and tier benefits.
2. You will no longer accrue Red Collar Rewards Points on purchases.
Closing your Red Collar Rewards account will not affect open orders or returns.
6. Limitation of Liability
These Terms and Conditions shall be construed and enforced pursuant to the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any action, litigation or proceeding of any kind arising from or relating to these Terms, the Program or the Services that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts having jurisdiction over the claim, and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts. You waive any right you may have to a trial by jury in respect of any legal action arising out of or relating to these Terms.
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions,
the Program or the Services, shall be settled by confidential arbitration
administered in English in Boston, Massachusetts by a single arbitrator under
the applicable arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator shall apply the governing law set forth in these Terms, including any applicable statute of limitations. Judgment on any award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall prohibit The Black Dog from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of
competent jurisdiction to enforce any intellectual property rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, whether the dispute is heard in arbitration or in court, no arbitration or claim under these Terms will be
joined to any other arbitration or claim, including any arbitration or claim
involving any other current or former user of the Program or the Services, and
neither you nor we will commence against the other a class action, class
arbitration, or other representative action or proceeding.
8. Severability; Miscellaneous
These Terms and Conditions, together with any policies
and/or additional terms applicable to your use of the Program and the Services,
if any, constitute the sole and entire agreement between you and The Black Dog
with respect to your use of the Program and the Services and supersede all
prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations and
warranties, both written and oral, regarding such use. If any term or provision
of these Terms and Conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any
jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not affect
any other term or provision of these Terms and Conditions or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction. No amendment to or modification of these Terms and Conditions is effective unless posted by The Black Dog on its website or set forth in a separate writing and
signed by an authorized representative of The Black Dog. No waiver by The Black
Dog of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless explicitly set forth in writing and signed by The Black Dog. No failure by The Black Dog to exercise, or delay by The Black Dog in exercising, any rights or remedies under these Terms and Conditions shall operate or be construed as a waiver of such rights or remedies, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy by The Black Dog preclude any other or further exercise by The Black Dog of that right or remedy or the exercise by The Black Dog of any other right or remedy. All rights and remedies provided in these Terms and Conditions are cumulative and not exclusive, and the exercise by The Black Dog of any right or remedy does not preclude its exercise of any other rights or
remedies that may now or subsequently be available at law, in equity, by statute, in any other agreement between the parties or otherwise. These Terms and Conditions benefit solely you and The Black Dog, and there are no third-party
beneficiaries.

the address below. Any legal notice to us regarding these Terms must be sent to
the address below. We may provide legal notice to you at any address or email you
provide to us through the Program.
